How long does an order take?
Orders take 3 to 6 business
days to complete plus additional time for orders that need to be shipped.
Do you have discounts?
10% Discounts are given to
customers that place an order of 4 or more headshots at the same time. We
also have a special offer with every order of 8x10s.
Can I proof my order?
Lithographs are produced on a
printing press. This means that a metal plate is made from a Litho
negative. We are unable to produce any kind of proof in this process.
Other places will try to sell you a proof that was created from an inkjet or
laser printer. Keep in mind that this is not the same way that your
headshot will be produced and therefore it is not a true proof. Graphic
Reproductions is able to supply you a proof on type if your order involves a
large amount of text (i.e., post cards, business cards and resumes).
Proofs will require additional time and may delay your order.
What happens if I don't like my
reproductions?
Lithographs
are not photographs. You will notice a slight difference between your
original and the reproductions. Blacks and whites are not 100%, they will
be scaled down which means that they could go both lighter and darker in some
areas. Graphic Reproductions makes every effort to get as close to the
original as possible. We recommend that you provide us with a very sharp
contrast picture with the least amount of grain possible. This will help
to ensure that the loss in the reproduction is far less. If there is a
problem that we believe can be fixed by re-running the job again then we will do
so. Otherwise, orders that are refused will be refunded 50%.
What if my name is spelled incorrect?
If your name is spelled wrong
and it is proven that it is our fault then we will gladly do your order again
with the correct changes. If the mistake was on your part then we will
have to ask you for an additional fee to re-run the order. This is also
true for layout mistakes as well.
Can you use a 4x6 or 5x7 to make my 8x10?
Yes. We have the capability to
take your small photograph and produce an 8x10 order. It is recommended
that you provide us with an 8x10 original for the best results. Please
keep in mind that when you enlarge any image, the natural tendency is that
the reproduction will lose some clarity and the graininess will be more noticeable.
You will sacrifice quality.
Do you accept a disk with my headshot?
Graphic Reproductions does have
the capabilities to produce your order when you supply us with a disk. We
require that you follow a few specifications. The picture must:
1. Be in TIFF format.
2. Be in grayscale. No RGB or CMYK!
3. Be scanned at no less than 300dpi
4. Be roughly to the desired size. Pictures than need to be enlarged might
lose some quality.
We also ask that you don't include your name in Photoshop. It will be
bitmapped and that never looks good. Please choose from our list
of fonts or supply us with a laser copy of your name in the font that you
like.
Can I use a JPEG?
JPEG's are a compressed version of an image. The file sizes for these
images are small which make them ideal for web sites and transferring over the
Internet. To use a JPEG please use the following guidelines:
1. Convert the image to grayscale.
2. Resize the image as an 8x10 and set the resolution to 300dpi.
3. Save the file with the highest quality setting.
How do I place an order?
To place an order, please
follow these few simple steps:

What do I do if I only have a 35mm
negative?
For a $12 additional charge, we
will be happy to get you an 8x10 made.
Can I give you a color picture?
Color pictures are accepted,
however, there is a $10 charge to work off of these types of photos. We
strongly recommend that you supply us with a black & white. If you
would like to produce your headshot in color, please visit our color
website for further information
