How long does an order take?
Orders take 3 to 6 business days to complete plus additional time for orders that need to be shipped.

When orders are received at our front counter, a proof will follow 1-2 days later.  Upon approval of the proof, the final product will be ready for pick up in 2-3 days.  Please note that these times are not guaranteed.  All times are dependent on current volume of orders.  Order that are to be shipped do require additional time.

Do you have discounts?
10% Discounts are given to customers that place an order of 4 or more headshots of the same quantity at the same time.  We also have a special offer with every order of 8x10s. (please contact us for the latest specials)

Can I proof my order?
Graphic Reproductions is able to supply you a proof of your headshot and show you how the final product will be.  You are encouraged to obtain a proof with every order to ensure satisfaction.  In the event that you should cancel your order at the proofing stage,  we will charge you $10 for each proof.  All proofs that are accepted will have this charge waived and will be part of the listed price.  Please note, approval of your proof is your acceptance that there are no errors and everything is correct.  Proofs will require additional time and may delay your order.

What happens if I don't like my reproductions?
This is not a photo process.  You will notice a slight difference between your original and the reproductions.  Blacks and whites are not 100%, they will be scaled down which means that they could go both lighter and darker in some areas.  Graphic Reproductions makes every effort to get as close to the original as possible.  We recommend that you provide us with a very sharp contrast picture with the least amount of grain possible.  This will help to ensure that the loss in the reproduction is far less.  If there is a problem that we believe can be fixed by re-running the job again then we will do so.  Otherwise, all sales are final!  Color pictures will vary from their original as well.  Scanned images tend to show more differences as not every spectrum of color can be matched exactly!  Digital files have been known to produce clearer images with colors well maintained.

What if my name is spelled incorrect?
If your name is spelled wrong and it is proven that it is our fault then we will gladly do your order again with the correct changes.  If the mistake was on your part then we will have to ask you for an additional fee to re-run the order.  This is also true for layout mistakes as well.

Can you use a 4x6 or 5x7 to make my 8x10?
Yes.  We have the capability to take your small photograph and produce an 8x10 order.  It is recommended that you provide us with an 8x10 original for the best results.  Please keep in mind that when you enlarge any image, the natural tendency is that the reproduction will lose some clarity and the graininess will be more noticeable.  You will sacrifice quality.

Do you accept a disk with my headshot?
Graphic Reproductions does have the capabilities to produce your order when you supply us with a disk.  We require that you follow a few specifications.  The picture must: (black & white orders)
    1. Be in TIFF format.
    2. Be in grayscale.  No RGB or CMYK!
    3. Be scanned at no less than 300dpi
    4. Be roughly to the desired size.  Pictures than need to be enlarged might lose some quality.

If your photo session was shot digitally, then the photographer supplied files will be ideal.
We also ask that you don't include your name in Photoshop.  It will be bitmapped and that never looks good.  Please choose from our list of fonts or supply us with a laser copy of your name in the font that you like.

For color images that will be printed in color:

Can I use a JPEG?
JPEG's are a compressed version of an image.  The file sizes for these images are small which make them ideal for web sites and transferring over the Internet.  To use a JPEG please use the following guidelines:
1.  Resize the image as an 8x10 and set the resolution to 300dpi.
2.  Save the file with the highest quality setting.

How do I place an order?
To place an order, please follow these few simple steps:
1. Supply us with your black & white original 8x10 photograph.
2. Let us know how many you would like. (Refer to our price list)
3. Decide if you would like 8x10 or 8 ½ x 11.

What do I do if I only have a 35mm negative?
For a $12 additional charge, we will be happy to get you an 8x10 made.

Can I give you a color picture to convert to black & white?
Color pictures are accepted, however, there is a $10 charge to work off of these types of photos.  We strongly recommend that you supply us with a black & white original.  If you would like to produce your headshot in color, please visit our color website for further information
